The website uses their own grading criteria as well as a community rating including input from parents of students to measure both public and private schools. Great schools lists over 200,000 schooling opportunities ranging from preschool through high school.

Walkscore allows you to enter an address and get a google map of the different shops, schools, and amenities in the area.
